Entrance to Petroleum Planet        Petroleum Planet Exhibit Museum of Science and Industry Chicago, IL Architect: John Vasilion & Associates Petroleum Planet is the Museum of Science and Industry’s newest permanent exhibit. The exhibit shows how a vast majority of the products we use everyday, from toothpaste to running shoes, all rely on a very basic and simple substance: petroleum. Petroleum Planet is an innovative and interactive look at this humble liquid that impacts us in such a great way. H.B. Barnard Company was the General Contractor for building the exhibit. We were directly responsible for the initial demolition work, and the overall construction of the exhibit’s infrastructure. We installed the mechanical electrical systems, as well as the carpeting, flooring and ceilings.
